Project

How to

create trust with potential clients?

Our client builds solar energy systems on farmland. For that, partnerships with farmers are essential. How does one create trust in such a setting?

We have redesigned the company’s term sheet and process explainer. The term sheet outlines the deal. The explainer shows the whole partnership process from the beginning to the end. Providing bigger picture leads to transparency. And transparency creates trust.

Term Sheet

Building trust with clear language

Potential clients should understand the proposed deal easily. No block of text where suspicious clauses can be hidden. No complex language that takes hours to understand. Parties should be on the same page during the meeting. For that, clear language is necessary. For example, instead of a legal name ‘term sheet’ the document is named ‘Our offer’. Both rights and obligations are clearly stated in the term sheet. The obligations are not hidden in small print.

Building trust with minimalist design

We used minimalist design that emphasises the strive for transparency. The documents should not look like marketing material. The idea is not to sell. The goal is to build a long-lasting partnership based on trust.

Explainer

Building trust with personal approach

Both legal documents are in an A3 format. They can be easily placed on the kitchen table during the meeting. Blanks are filled and agreed changes implemented right in front of farmer’s eyes on a tangible piece of paper. Nothing is hidden, the documents are shaped in cooperation.
