How to

make personnel handbooks more engaging?

We believe employment agreements and handbooks should represent company values and the work environment. New employees interact with these documents and get their first impressions about the company from them. A dynamic and innovative company should have a dynamic, innovative, and engaging employment contract.

We decided to incorporate some comic strips into the employment agreement and handbook to get engaging documents that are fun to read. To really get the message across.

This comic strip engagingly shows how easy it is to take holidays, with a step-by-step playful guide. Playfulness was not used ‘just like that’. The company values a good work-life balance and encourages its employees to take holidays. A boring formal text would discourage taking holidays, making it seem difficult. A playful comic strip passes on a message that holidays are easy to take.

It is essential that every new employee understands company values to work for the company well. With a comic strip, employees are more likely to understand and remember these values. They are not pushed on them but engagingly presented to them. Plus, as you can see, we seize every opportunity to include cats in our designs.
